Peach Payments today launches its Black Friday Dashboard live on its website
Peach Payments today launches its Black Friday Dashboard live on its website (peachpayments.com/black-friday). The dashboard shows the amount of transactions processed via the payment service provider, and also includes other data points, such as payment methods used, provincial breakdown and a ticker of transactions happening by rand value. There are also deals Peach Payments’ merchants are offering so that they can score big this Black Friday weekend.
“The aim is to help merchants and consumers get a handle on the sheer volume of online payments South Africa’s economy is supporting. As South Africa’s second largest online payment service provider, we wanted to provide a snapshot of the overall volume of business. We believe that if merchants and consumers see how big the trend is, it will build consumer confidence and help merchants scale their businesses,” says Joshua Shimkin, Head of SME Growth and Marketing at Peach Payments.
The peachpayments.com/black-friday webpage also allows merchants to promote their Black Friday and Cyber Monday deals in a social media display box, automated from Instagram posts that include the hashtag #PeachFriday. This promotional opportunity is open to all merchants, not only those who have an existing relationship with Peach Payments.
“Part of our aim is to improve education and awareness around online payments, which go beyond retail and include B2B payments and other disbursements,” Shimkin says. “The dashboard gives South Africans a chance to see that we have world class technologies in the country and hopefully encourages small business owners as they start or extend their online companies.”
